PGPLT: 7PP007 - Developing the Reflective Practitioner
DIRECTED TASK FOR ASSESSMENT
Briefing Information: Group6 – CPD and Professionalism in Higher Education
There is increasing attention and debate within HEIs (including this University, of course) on the topic of CPD, its character and how best to evidence it, and its relationship to the professionalism of academic members of staff. Your task is to work collaboratively as a small group of the production of a reference learning resource for online access by other cohort members on this topic. The character, design and scale of this resource are matters for determination by you as a group. Possible forms that the resource might take are, for example and fairly obviously, a PowerPoint slideshow or a website set of learning resources themed together on this topic.
Whatever the form, the resource must be essentially original work produced by the group, though the usually permitted citing, extracting, referencing and annexing of the work of others should be provided, as appropriate.
All members of the group will receive the same grading (P / R) for this online learning resource. The resource MUST be accompanied by a correctly referenced and partly annotated relevant bibliography (see Module Handbook advice).
The following reading suggestions are made as starting points. All are available either electronically or for access from the UD Library collections.
